My mom made french fries with canola oil today....?

I ate some with my porkchop and rice with tomatoes and red onion.

CANOLA OIL is a healthy oil right?

WAS this bad? Should I have not ate them?

Today I ate -

eggwhites on whole wheat bread

tuna with corn on a tostada and a salad

an apple, mango, and banana

a little bit of melted cheese for protine

and I ate the porkchop with rice and some french fries for dinner**

I'm not eating anything at all.

Was this a bad choice??

I think I ate about 1500 calories right? My mom made french fries with canola oil today....?
To answer your question, Canola is one of the healthier oils. HOWEVER, what you say you have eaten: bread, corn, tostada, fruits, rice and fries, are all carbohydrates. Don't focus on the ONE fried thing you ate, but all of the other things in there. Fruit is good for you, and you need LEAN proteins: pork and cheese do not fall into this category. Additionally, where were the vegetables? Tomatoes are fruits and a bit of red onion for flavor doesn't count. My advice is to focus on the nutritional value of the foods you are eating instead of the calories. I can have a giant piece of cake: that's only 900 calories, but it is not good for my body. Also, drink enough water and exercise. It's good for your weight, concentration, circulation, skin and stress levels. My mom made french fries with canola oil today....?
No canola oil is bad! Use olive oil!

Great choices otherwise.
