Do characteristics of today鈥檚 coral reefs suggest that they might become oil reservoirs as rudist reefs did?

Please explain! thanks!Do characteristics of today鈥檚 coral reefs suggest that they might become oil reservoirs as rudist reefs did?
Sure - modern reefs have both porosity and permeability which are needed to become a petroleum reservoir. Even if the porosity goes to almost zero, diagenesis such as dolomitization and fracturing can still make the reef a reservoir.
