I changed my oil today and used 20/50 everybody is telling me that wrong should i change it again asap..?

what kind of car and engine?, more than likely if a newer car you should have used 5w-30.I changed my oil today and used 20/50 everybody is telling me that wrong should i change it again asap..?
We don't know the car, the mileage. Nothing.

Seriously...

It might be advisable to use weight that heavy in an antiquated engine that has consistent low oil pressure.

I had a 1978 Dodge Magnum with 385,000 miles on it that banged, clanked, rattled, and had next to no oil pressure. I put straight 50 in it and it improved significantly. But that's the exception rather than the rule.

We have to have car details.I changed my oil today and used 20/50 everybody is telling me that wrong should i change it again asap..?
Seriously, no car info at all? come on!! How do we know.??

If it's a big truck or diesel engine, don't worry about it.

If it's any car made within the past 5 years then you probably should change the oil asap to prevent engine damage.

20/50 oil is too thick to get into all of the extremely tight clearances on today's modern engines. Unless your car has a ton of miles on it, I wouldn't use 20/50 oil.
Did you check the owners manual before changing the oil? If you do not have the owners manual then go to the library and find the car repair books for the make and year of car. The repair books will list every thing you need to know about your car.
The only reason you should be using 20/50 is if you're doing any pulling or towing because that oil is too thick. You should use a 5/30 or a 10/30 depending on how cold it gets in your area. Use a 5/30 for colder weather.
That's ok. The 20 means that is how thick it is and the 50 is how thick it is when hot. If you live where it is cold that car will let you know that you need a thinner oil. I`m in canada.
well r u driving a heavy duty truck.u use 20/50 in semi trucks, not modern day vehicles.so i would change it asap
sounds like big block engine to me
