At Oil being $80 a barrel today, how much would it cost if we pulled out of Iraq?

And would paying over $160 a barrel put our country in recession? At Oil being $80 a barrel today, how much would it cost if we pulled out of Iraq?
no Jules it was 23 bucks BEFORE the invasion and around 1998 it was floating around 10 bucks a bbl remember when everyone was worried about gasoline reaching a dollar a gallon ?At Oil being $80 a barrel today, how much would it cost if we pulled out of Iraq?
The U.S.-led invasion has resulted in the loss of an average of 2 million barrels a day of Iraqi oil from world markets.
60$ per barrel. We sure are not getting any from Iraq right now. So, thinking it would skyrocket is retarded.

Duhhhhh... tightening supplies? We are not getting ANY oil from Iraq, it is below pre-war output. Pulling out of Iraq would do nothing to the supply side, except maybe an increase in Iraqi oil output. Put down that reefer.
SO WHAT I HEAR YOU SAY IS THAT THIS WAR IS ABOUT OIL....THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS THE TRUTH HAS BEEN REVEALED
$50-$60/bbl
wasn't oil like 55 a barrell before the war
You want $10.00 per barrel oil?

Stop buying it from the Arabs.

Jim D
oh yeah, oil prices would go way up. that's the price we would pay for stopping the body bags filled with US soldiers.

if we leave in ten years, oil prices will skyrocket then too.
how are you comparing the two costs? you think because we are in Iraq, it's $80.00? if i remember correctly, people think the war is for oil, however it cost, I would like to say, $2.00 a gallon less before the war. Interesting concept.

the real question is, how much would it cost if we werent dependent on FOREIGN OIL AT ALL!

Dina, I KNOW we are dependent on it

im saying we SHOULDN'T BE if the libs would let us drill in the US. oh no oh no global warming or some other ****. lets just keep the terrorists in business.
Bush's cronies see the end drwing near so they are milking this war for everything they can.
Hi Dina, Time to face facts as we all must do all over the World. I work in Geosiesmic Survey's all over different Country's . We are running out of oil. Getting out of Iraq will make no difference. We are better to find New Energies now before it is too late.
One of the problems for the US is the growing trend of oil being sold in currencies other than the dollar. (Iran has recently asked the Japanese to pay for their oil in Yen.) The US cannot afford to have the greenback lose its status as the worlds reserve currency. If that happens, America is toast as a world power.
My guess about $800.00 a barrel
More than double that . Especially after Iran fulfills their own promise to fill the power vacuum and take Iraq as it's own !!

BTW , I love the way you phrased that !!
