Do you think the world (not only the US) depends TOO MUCH on the oil and fossil products we us today?

Do you think the world (not only the US) depends TOO MUCH on the oil and fosil products we us today? if you do tell me why. My science teacher said that my generation may have to deal with the worlds largest crisis, which is if the fossil fuels which we use go EMPTY. If that was to hapen the whole world would be in crisis. I have heard and read that fossil fuel levels are already running low.Do you think the world (not only the US) depends TOO MUCH on the oil and fossil products we us today?
Yes, we do depend too much on fossil fuels. We need to (quickly) develop an alternate source of fuel (Like Brazil did with Ethanol) so that what happens with the international community will not affect oil prices.Do you think the world (not only the US) depends TOO MUCH on the oil and fossil products we us today?
yes we do rely on it too much...u can make fuel (especially for cars) out of replenishable resources like sugar cane and corn
People born in 1955 have heard fossil fuels are running low too. It's all a crock. There's more fossil fuel than we will need for the next century. It's just that few people control it.
Heck yes.
Yeah, we probab;y rely on it a little to much. But moreso in the past than now, as now we have so many other kinds of energy we can use and are experimenting with using. But actually, the fossil fuel levels are NOT really running low. The government is using that as an excuse to keep gas prices high. We haven't even tapped the huge amount in Alaska yet. And we're finding more everyday.
yea
We rely on it too much because, think about it, we have NO other efficient method in place on which to run our cars. If all oil was to be used up, we have NO other plan in place already on which to turn.
Yes... Petroleum is used mostly, by volume, for producing fuel oil and gasoline (petrol), both important ';primary energy'; sources (IEA Key World Energy Statistics). Petroleum is also the raw material for many chemical products, including solvents, fertilizers, pesticides, and plastics. 88% of all petroleum extracted is processed as fuel; the other 12% is converted into other materials such as plastic. Since petroleum is a non-renewable resource, many people are worried about running out.

We should research or conduct study more on alternative fuel sources from living substances or regenerate the used oil...
