It would depend, of course, on what was in the oil that you dumped in the garden, and how much he consumed ( if he licked it off the ground it couldn't have been much) but generally speaking a little oil shouldn't be a problem. Dogs have pretty rugged digestive system.
Maybe next time you might consider just putting your old oil into a empty coffee can and freezing it before you throw it into the trash.My dog has consumed some canola oil i had tipped into the garden today???
It will loosen the dog's bowels for a day and then the dog will return to normal. Most dog foods incorporate canola oil...it is a vegetable substance.
It won't hurt her , but it will clean her out real good.

You don't need to make her drink extra water. There is no problem consuming the oil, and is not dangerous to her.
