Oil was $10/barrel during Clinton. Today, it's around $88. Will it reach $100/barrel by the end of the year?

Your wrong as has already been stated and if you adjust for inflation you can see that the prices now are actually at 1979 prices. http://www.inflationdata.com/inflation/i鈥?/a>

More importantly, the Deal the Bush Sr. cut for helping Kuwait and Saudi Arabia benefited the Clinton team, because Bush Sr. had locked the prices in for 10 years. That deal has run out and now the prices are recovering from that 10 year price control.Oil was $10/barrel during Clinton. Today, it's around $88. Will it reach $100/barrel by the end of the year?
Which sucked for oil producing regions in America by reducing jobs. Why isn't American oil companies putting Americans to work drilling our own oil at these high prices?Oil was $10/barrel during Clinton. Today, it's around $88. Will it reach $100/barrel by the end of the year?
If OPEC has any say in it, it will.
If you think it's bad now, wait till Hillary gets in the White House. Remember that the majority of OPEC countries are Arabic and African, and muslim to boot; the exception is Venezuela. With the known attitudes of Arabs and muslims toward women and the US, what do you think the price for a barrel of oil will be if Hillary becomes president?
If my memory serves me right, it was double that when they were in and 9/11 didn't happen until after they left office.. here is a sorce for you day by day prices..
I think it's very likely oil will hit $100 by year end. With the deficits the Bush Administration is running the dollar is falling like a stone. This will only drive oil prices higher.

Maybe putting two oil men in the white house was a bad idea.
Just a very compelling reason for alternative energy, isn't it? NO WAR FOR OIL...
Son, who are you trying to fool here?

We haven't seen $10/barrel oil since Jimmy Carter. Get your facts straight and then present something worth discussing and answering.

Folks, let's get things straight. We had a big petroleum conference here yesterday and you will see it on the Research Channel in the near future. But that same question was asked about $100/barrel oil. The original prediction was made in 1973 by some economist who has since passed. These predictions are all that, predictions. Wasn't it TIME Magazine that predicted by 2010 we would be in a complete ice age?

Please folks, don't be so naive to believe things from people who have an agenda. Believe the facts as they are, not necessarily as they are presented.
Back when Clinton was in office, my rent was $300 a month. Now, it is $900 a month. Back when Clinton was in office, I only paid 80 cents a gallon for milk. Now, I pay $3 a gallon. Back when Kennedy was in office, my rent was $25 a month. When Clinton took office I was paying $300 a month. Back when Kennedy was in office, I only paid 20 cents a gallon for milk. When Clinton took office I was paying 80 a gallon....I guess things are going up in price.
it appears so.

Also consider this. The US dollar's value has dropped around 30% which fuels the high cost of things.
Hopefully more, it will encourage people to drive more environmentally friendly cars rather then fuel-guzzling, ego-inflating machines.
If you are going to ask a question at least get your facts straight. Oil was never $10/barrel during the Clinton years. Get real.
T. Boone Pickens predicted it would over a year ago.

The used car salesmen I was discussing it with a few months ago claimed it was not economically possible.

I'm going with Pickens.
That's a lie, I remember what it was per barrel during Clinton's reign cause I had a deep discussion on the matter, it was at $55 a barrel and getting higher and the cost of gas depended on where you were. I left Atlanta Georgia in 1994 and I paid .88 cents per gallon but when I got here that very day, I had to pay $1.44 per gallon so don't even try to pull those liberal lies on us here bucky.
Going to war with the middle east will do that. Saudis must be happy what their friend is doing over there.
Oil prices were never as low as $10/barrel when Clinton was in office. The President has NO control over these price anyway........
