If you think America has a problem with petrol prices take a look at the price of fuel in the UK. In the 50's we were told that fuel would go up for a short time because , due to the Suez crisis, tankers had to go around the Cape It has never gone down since then. Quite the opposite despite the discovery of oil in the North Sea. I think that fuel prices here are the highest in the world with the possible exception of JapanOil hit a new record high today of $97 dollars a barrel. What is going on? They just keep sticking it to us!
Well, that is just ONE of the many issues which will culminate in interior civil strife when it collides with the coming water shortage, racial tensions, and rampant natural disasters, across the nation. Survival manuels, anyone?
That's an excellent question, what is really going on?
The newscaster stated gas prices went up 10 cents overnight, while we slept!
When will the madness cease?!!!!
I don't get it either.
They keep reporting it in the media, but no real answers as to why.
profit of course. The countries that make up opec are for the most part arab. Iraq is pretty much down due to their insurgency and Iran is getting sanctioned and what not so they are upping their prices as well. Not to mention they want money for their expected military expenditures since the US is probably scaring the bejesus out of now. Oh, yeah with the chinese and Indian economies booming and growing they also quite literally need fuel for their economies. Since the supply didn't drastically increase at any point it is only the demand that has risen and therefore simple supply and demand is what is driving up prices the most. Also it doesn't help that the venezuelan leader is an idiot and messing things up as best he knows how.
As long as you (as in 'we') continue to use oil as though raising prices will not stop you, then prices will continue to rise. If gas is getting too pricey, we should use energy supplies that aren't as pricey. My point is: Until we start supporting alternative fuels, AT EVERY CHANCE, then oil and gas will continue to increase in price; it will NEVER GO DOWN!
We've have just reached the point where supply can no longer keep up with demand.
it will hit 100 tonight, mark my word.
Bad as it is at the moment,if Iran is attacked we will all be wishing it was only $97 a barrell
