Why is the media ';spinning'; how Bush making oil prices drop today?

So yesterday Bush lifts the exectutive ban on off-shore drilling, and before you Democrats go getting your panties in a wad, he readily admits that this won't help in the short term much. He said ';it's not going to produce a drop pf oil tomorrow.'; But it does make OPEC and the oil speculators think twice about what the future might hold.

Yet maybe it did do something with immediate results.....today oil prices fell $10 a barrel. Yet the media wants to ';credit'; the fall in price to the bad economy. But isn't that what they were ';blaming'; for the rise in oil prices in the first place?

Why can't the media be objective and not always find a way to be negative? Why is the media ';spinning'; how Bush making oil prices drop today?
If OPEC really believes they may lose the best customer they will in turn reduce the price below $75.00 a barrel to keep its cost lower than we can produce it. And we will than stop drilling again and start buying again. Why is the media ';spinning'; how Bush making oil prices drop today?
If so it will be a temporary fix. Oil prices have spiked recently with recurring threats of war with iran maybe we're on the downside of one of those. I remember Israel threatened a pre-emptive attack on Iran a few days ago.

I think it would be unfair to assume causation merely from correlation.

As far as the media being too negative you are absolutely right, they love doom and gloom it's great for ratings!
Because foremost in the media's agenda is to make more money - regardless whether they tell the truth or sensationalize, or bend things a bit just so their Nielsen rating. So good new they don't bother. You won't hear them write about someone rescuing a cat from a tree. BTW, Bush had nothing to do with the drop in oil prices today. But it's a good excuse as any.
Oh honey, you have to understand something about economics to understand the answer, and I think this one is WAY over your head. People don't make the prices changes, markets change based on ';fundamentals';. Sorry, I don't have time for an economics lesson tonight. Read the paper again, I guarantee that is NOT what they said.
The media can not be fair because fox can only own so many channels. I like fox for its fair and balanced views unlike all these other stations filled with all liberal nut jobs, CNN hint hint, except Glen Beck.
You want the media to be objective LOL

That will never happen. Just like all the schools, they turn out more liberals every year, And they think that is great.
Because we need to look in other sources of energy and stop polluting....liberals are hugging trees for future generations and idiots who just think of them self and now.
because bad news is what keeps people watching. negative things keep people watching.
Cause the media is made up of damn liberals and liberals love...wait a minute...never-mind.
Let's just say, it's a good start...not enough though. Still way too much government regulation. We need a free market take over and stop letting our government interfere so much.
The action, while symbolic, shows the market that someone is serious about drilling. Airlines and other businesses that depend on fuel must have a control over costs. They need to budget for the future, which is why they buy contracts.

The price has continued to go up because the market has no confidence in Congress making it possible to get oil.

The media will not report anything positive on Bush because they hate him and are in the tank for Obama.

Liberals are negative by design. They hate America and freedom. They want to destroy what we are for a variety of reasons. They will report as needed to fit the agenda that they have.
The Media. Does anyone here remember how Hitler became Hitler? The Media put him in and then never allowed the German people to know what was actually going on until it was too late for them to do anything but raise their hands and shout Heil. Does anyone think about who owns our Media? Why would anyone believe anything in the news today, it is owned by Big Business, run by Big Business and worships at the altar of Power and Greed. Welcome to America. I think that Bush is afraid that his sheep are showing some unrest. If you hit the Americans in the pocketbook too hard that is the only way you can really get us to revolt.
