Is anyone else TRUTHFULLY worried about oil prices? Today oil sold for $121.49...and it is continuing to?

rise. Some predicitons are that it could reach $150 to $200 in 6 months. Yesterday they said gas prices would drop and then today they once again begin to soar....I know this is a Bull's market...but does anyone see an end to the rising fuel costs? Any ideas on how to lower them? I say end the war and bring our troops home YESTERDAY!!!!Is anyone else TRUTHFULLY worried about oil prices? Today oil sold for $121.49...and it is continuing to?
Yes, I'm worried about it.

SOMETHING has to be done....But WHAT and by WHOM??

I agree, bring 'em home.Is anyone else TRUTHFULLY worried about oil prices? Today oil sold for $121.49...and it is continuing to?
do your research. The war is not the reason for the gas hike.

It's really sad that we are suffering because of our dependency on oil but I think this is just what we need to get a wake up call. Now that other countries are acquiring automobiles, China and India, it's in a bigger demand. To top it off we have altnernative technology in our hands, such as solar powered cars, bio diesel fuel that we need to bring to life.

Now that the whole world is catching on to the oil craze we need to stay ahead of the game and invent the next best thing for transportation.

PS: buy a bike, take the bus or carpool. We still have other choices.
I agree about the troops actually I think we should pull our men out and blow them to Kingdom Com. Oil prices yes something should be done a cap put on the price but who is going to do that The President won't he is an oil man. The new President cannot without the vote of congress. We must stress to our children the benefits of education so that they can make enough money to raise their family and have money to take stress free vacations and be able to live comfortably like a job that pays 200,000.00 plus a year
Personally, I believe speculators are driving up the cost of gas. Will it ever stop going up? Probably, when we've hit a recession (not to imply we will). What can be done? Utilize the oil resources we have in our own country. Wait, nevermind...enviro-whackos won't let us. If anyone is to blame, it's the people spouting global warming nosense and pretending we (humans) are so important that we would actually have a major impact on the world's *natural* climate changes. But, obviously, that's just my take on things..
i really worry about it..even though i dont drive..

the prices are rediculus, how are we suppost to pay for this gas to live our lifes with the wages sittin at where they are..not to mention the people living in poverty..how are they suppost to do it? and i too agree that the troops should be home.. i also belive that our flippin president should stop being greedy about oil and use what we have instead of trying to take everyone else's...
No, I am not at all worried about it at all.

Think about it--- It's actually a good thing.

Hopefully our rediciouls oil dependency will end and force us to switch to alternate, cleaner fuels.

';I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait 'til oil and coal run out before we tackle that.';

~ Thomas Edison (1847鈥?931)
Why worry about something you have no control over? I am mad as he!! about it and plan to vote for a candidate, that hopefully will do something about this country's problems, in November. I agree with you about the troops coming home ASAP.
yes i am worried about oil and gas prices. american airlines is not going to fly out of one of the airports because of gas prices. i'm not sure how you go about lowering them.
I remembering this all starting when the Oil Co's. compared prices with : a movie ticket! a gallon of milk! a pack of cigarettes! price of a car or truck! They wanted too get on the action too! now it's totally out of control!!!
I hope something is done after Bush is gone...At this point, its just widespread price gouging with an oil tycoon president that won't do a damn thing...and regardless, the troops do need to come home from an endless, no win war...
I am worse than worried. Hubby has a 55 mile commute each way and we were going to try for another child. Doesn't seem possible thanks to gas.

I am willing to do whatever. And I say send troops back here.
I am very worried I live on a fixed income and can only afford to drive about 25 miles a month..........Oh my dear what to do, what to do???
hell yeah I am... I am a single mother going to college full time and I work full time- it barely pays for me to drive to work- I dont make enough to even make a difference- I would save money staying home. I seriously suggest everyone should buy a bike
I say we build bicycle, jogging, and walking trails and we abandon cars!

This will soon be an article about us.

Every time the say ';on highest record price';and after few days it's more high, don't know when they say it's stable now.
I am but what can we do. You can only conserve so much. You still have to drive.
you'd have to be crazy to NOT be worried about it...
Give it time, give it time.

It'll come back down.
Not me, I only worry about the price of getting oiled
I am actually about to go buy a bike right now
The government does not care because we as sheep will not make a stand.

Amen.
i do not care i do not drive i walk or take a bus.
yes cause its affecting everyone world wide.
If we end the war and bring our troops home yesterday, there will be numerous side effects:

1: No one will trust us to finish the job, the biggest mistakes America has made are as follows:

A:Pulling out of Vietnam when the North Vietnamese where already to sign the Paris accords.

B: Leaving Beirut after our Marine barracks were bombed.

C: Leaving Somalia when the water got hot

D: Pulling out of Iraq, with Saddam still in power in the 1990's.

Because of those actions al-Qaeda views us as a paper tiger, and figures they can just wait us out like they did the Soviets in Afghanstan the 1980's.

2: Iran who is hell bent on destroying Israel first, then eventually turning the world into a caliphate would move in and fill the power vacuum left when we leave and then have oil revenues to fund group like hamas, hezbollah and others who will help Ahmadinejad bring about the 12th imam.

3: This power vaccuum would be filled by people who want to kill all infidels, regardless of race, nationality, political ideology, ethnicity, including other muslims (ex: non Sunni or Non-Shia, etc.), atheists, Christians, Jews, Bushists, Hindus, etc)

The way to solve the oil prices in my opinion is as follows:

1: In the mean time Drill for our own oil, in ANWR, The outer continental shelf, etc. This will increase the supply, because oil prices are sunject to supply and demand, therefore lowering the prices.

2: Continue to explore and experiment with alternative fuels, like hydrogen, compressed air, etc.

3: Tata motors of India is close to bringing a compressed air car to the market.

4: Allow more nuclear plants to be built. Newsflash: the movie China Syndrome was a work of fiction, and nuclear technology has improved significantly since chernobyl.

5: No more boutique blends of gas

6: Nation wide fuel standards where that if a pipe line in Nebraska goes down, they can get gas from Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, or wherever and not have to suffer from a supply interruption do to every state having certain formulations required.

7: Let the free market work as it will.
