Crude Oil Futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange Hit $100 a Barrel for 1st Time Ever

Media has a way of making big $$ for big oil. Hmmmm wonder why?What are your thoughts on oil hitting a record $100 per barrel today?
It personifies what the founding fathers wanted. A Nation controlled by the Gentry with the poor, the women, and servants all disenfranchised from the privilege of Government, and protection of Laws.
We probably haven't seen the worst of it yet , we still have three in the white house, Bush, Cheney , and last but not least Rice, own 's an oil company
I think its only natural considering the brisk growth in demand for energy in China and India.
Demand is very high, with China and india taking much more than they did only a few years ago. We should be exploring and drilling for more oil, and conserving what we can.

I also wish solar power were more practical. The Sun gives off huge amounts of energy, and isn't going anywhere for a long time. If we could harness even a tiny percentage, many of our problems would be solved!
Great news for Al Gore and George Soros, who both have significant oil holdings.

That means more PAC money for the Libs.Hoooray!...NOT!
That means Gold did the same.

now where the hell is that MASTER OF ECONOMY, debating me for gold is not a good investment,

poor clients lost big money

iceman always Right.
Nations in the middle east, Sudan, and Russia, are happy happy, and, they say thank you America for bringing instability to Iraq and surronding areas, for, without you, oil would be 45 a barrel!.
Two oil men are in the white house.
Funny how the Liberals blame Bush for high prices, yet blamed him for going after the oil in Iraq. Nice. Can't win with Liberals. If prices were down they'd say ';I told you so...blood for oil';, but prices go up and it's profits for his buddies. Ever think it might be market driven? China's demand? Oh, that's Bush's fault, too, for allowing Free Trade build that economy. Clinton had nothing to do with Free Trade. They're just a bunch of complainers. It's a waste of time trying to rationalize. I see it every day here in NY. Jobs are down and it's Bush's fault, but when jobs rise, Elliott Spitzer gets the credit. It's unbelievable.

We could lower prices by drilling our own, but no, can't do that, either.
Two words. Love it. My energy stocks are simmering, ready to boil over! Time to buy another house!
That's how the law of supply and demand works. When demand increases for a supply of resources, then the price for said resource goes up.
Looks like it's going to be a great year for Bush and his friends.

Well, we know where the money comes from for this...

Well, for a start Bush is making more and more money for the oil business that put him into power in the first place. Time to vote for Edwards.
Let me guess the area is unstable because of the assassination of Bhutto?
My thoughts, this year is going to be a pain in the ***. This is not the best way to start the new year. But hey what goes up must come down. For now the only thing I can do is be a little more careful on how i spend my money, and most likely less unnecessary trips to the store/malls.
My thoughts are that I'm tired of paying almost $40 to fill my 9-gallon gas tank.
Excellent !!

Now, the ';knuckel-heads'; driving those SUVs (that never see off-road or dirt) will have to park them ... this includes the silly laden soccer moms as well.
Thanks George
Is it really that much different than $99 a barrel? It's just a number.

It's kind of like when the Dow hit 10,000. Nice round number, but doesn't really mean anything different than when it was 9,999.
The dollar will do better and oil will go down when Dems quit giving America away to illegals and trying to give out so many handouts.

But, Dems tend to overlook this party ---%26gt;

';Surging economies in China and India fed by oil and gasoline have sent prices soaring over the past year, ...';

I bought oil stocks about a year ago.

Why do Dems moan about oil when Chinese and Indians are willing to the the same $100/ barrel?
